My participation here has been sporadic, to say the least. I discovered DA through friends and came to support their work. But my r/l has had many ups and downs in the last 2 years, so there would be and probably still will be, long stretches without internet.
I am usually a happy, caring person that helps my friends and family through their rough times. Now it's my rough time, and I was floundering, but I've met such incredible people here and online in general. Between them and my other friends, I know I can weather these storms, and I'm so grateful. When people say that there is only perverts and liars online, I always look them in the eyes and tell them that they are judging others by what they do, not what is really happening. I know there are those out there like that, but there are so many more that aren't. There are many of us here that just use the net as another place to be ourselves.
I know it's not a great thing to link people, but I am grateful not to be going through this by myself. I am so thankful for you, Ash, and your friendship. You always bring a smile to my face, and brighten my life with your music, and art. You are a godsend to me, and I just want you to know that even though you are struggling too, you are being a wonderful friend, and I thank you. Send me more music!!! :giggles:
There are many wonderful and talented people here, I hope you are all appreciated for who you are, and what you do. I'm just glad to be a part of something that can bring so many people together that can influence each other in such a positive way.
